Description: Each of its lily pad-like leaves float on dainty looking stems that will bob around independently in a gentle breeze. Towards the upper part of every single leaf will be a white, or lighter shade of green, dot where the stem meets the leaf and holds it in place. It’s become known as a “pass-along” plant due to the ease of the mother to create baby plants. By carefully unearthing these pups and rooting them in soil you can create SEVERAL new plants for your friends and family!
This pet-friendly foliage desires bright indoor light but the compact leaves are too fragile for direct sun. Try an East, West, or Southern facing window. Don’t let these sit on the sill but a little ways back from the window, where the light is still luminous but indirectly lighting up the leaves. This beauty would prefer to be dry rather than wet, but water consistently.
